A unique project proposed and constructed to guarentee water supply for the City of Cumming during excessively low lake levels. GeoSystems completed the geotechnical investigation for the intake facility and for the approximate 3000 foot long intake extension which involved rotary drilling performed from the surface of a floating platform during rough conditions. A large embankment constructed through wetlands near the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. The project profile currently only describes the initial investigation portion. The embankment is complete and the track is in service as of May 2012. A thourough discussion of the embankment design and construction process will uploaded soon.
